Women Network and Men For Change: Take A Girl/Boy Child To Work Programme

POLOKWANE - Today members of Limpopo Women Network together with Men for Change held a Campaign of TAKE A GIRL/BOY CHILD TO WORK at Polokwane Mounted Unit premises.

The event was honoured by the presence of Limpopo Provincial Commissioner Lt Gen Nneke Ledwaba and other Cluster Commanders.

This event was led by Women Network Champion Brig Mary Mashila who was joined by Brig Mkhabela and Brig Malahlela.

Learners from different schools around Limpopo were brought to the event in order to learn different careers and duties in the SAPS.

The programme started with the Provincial Commissioner delivering the speech to the learners. In his speech he encouraged learners to focus on their studies. This was followed by the visitation to the different stalls that were erected specifically for this day.

The visiting children had an opportunity to learn about different environments that were displayed by various units within the Police Service.

Search and Rescue

Mounted Unit



The learners were also given an opportunity for a brief Horse Riding experience and also to ask questions from each presenters.

At the end of the programme, the Provincial Commissioner handed the following SAPS branded items to the learners as a token of appreciation:
