Two arrested for stock theft and stolen goods

FREE STATE – Two males arrested for stock theft, stolen property and dealing in drugs to appear in Phillipolis court.

 

On 03 January 2023 at about 08:30, livestock owner in the Philipolis precinct went to the Police station alleging that one of his sheep is missing and he suspects theft.

 

Philipolis members quickly gathered intelligence information and it led the members to a house in Poding tse Rolo where upon searching the house a 24-year-old male was arrested after the suspected stolen sheep was found in a deep freezer.

 

A further search in the house led to the arrest of 35-year-old male after members uncovered more suspected stolen goods such as electrical tools worth an estimated amount of R100 000-00 found hidden in one of the rooms and two packets of drugs called Khat.

 

The two suspects were arrested for stock theft, possession of suspected stolen goods and dealing in drugs.  They will appear on Thursday 05 January 2023 at Philipolis Magistrate Court.
