SAPS Women embark on door-to-door campaign in Paballelo in support of Women’s Month

KIMBERLEY - Recently, SAPS Paballelo together with the female administration support staff of Border Police held a door-to-door awareness campaign distributing pamphlets aiming to raise awareness amongst women particularly house wives on issues such as domestic violence, alcohol and drug abuse, crimes against women and children while also sharing safety tips.

The station management team joined the members in this initiative. The women of the community informed the police how they want to be policed and where they feel the police fall short in terms of service delivery. They also commended the police for their sterling efforts earlier in the year, when the suspects involved in the gruesome murder of a young lady, six years ago, were arrested.

The station commander in addressing the women asked them to help the police to reclaim the streets of the community from criminals. She also assured the community in saying that; your safety is our priority. We will destabilise and normalize crime in ensuring a safe and secure community for all who lives in it.
