IKAMVELIHLE: On 8 March 2018, at about 17:45, the home of a SAPS employee caught fire and burned down. The house in Mtshiza Street, Zwide was completely destroyed by the fire and the cause of fire has not been found yet. Ms Ntambencinci Hele (47) is employed as an admin clerk at Ikamvelihle police station and has two children, a 10-year-old boy and a 14-year-old girl. They were forced to seek shelter with a next door neighbour since the blaze destroyed all their belongings.

The Ikamvelihle Station Commander, Lt Colonel Nomsa Mtshagi spearheaded a plight to fellow police men and women to donate cash, clothing and food items to assist the family in their time of need.

A cash amount and other donations were received from all the stations of the Motherwell Cluster, and today these were handed over to Ms Hele at Ikamvelihle Police Station.
