Police arrested suspects in possession of suspected stolen live stock

VENTERSBURG – Information was received about live stock to be stolen in the farming community amongst Senekal, Ventersburg and Hennenman. More Boots were placed on the ground to prevent the crime.

On Friday, the 09 December 2022 at about 15:45 it was reported that seven Mix Breed Heifers valued R105 000 live stock was stolen from a farm in Hennenman. A case of stock theft was registered for further investigation.

Preliminary investigation was conducted which led to the arrest of a 25-year-old male suspect. The stolen livestock were seized and handed back to the owner.

The suspect is facing charges of being in Possession of suspected stolen stock and will appear in Ventersburg Magistrate Court on the 12 December 2022 and a charge of Stock Theft will be added.

The District Commissioner of Lejweleputswa, Maj Gen Lerato Molale praised the Station Commander of Ventersburg, Captain Odendaal and his team for been more visible to enhance Police visibility which led to the arrest and seizure of stolen live stock.
