DURBAN – On 03 October 2022, police officers from the Empangeni Task Team followed up information regarding persons who were in possession of firearms.

The team proceeded to a homestead in Ndondwane, Empangeni where a search was conducted. Upon searching the house, three homemade shotguns with five rounds of ammunition were recovered. Two men aged 30 and 64 were placed under arrest for unlawful possession of firearms and ammunition. The suspects appeared before the Empangeni Magistrates Court yesterday. The matter was adjourned to 11 October 2022.
