Operation Lockdown generates vast results

The Limpopo police have today woken up to a day filled with milestone achievements. The police officers conducted operation lockdown around the Province which saw meaningful results. The day commenced with a parade with full inspections to ensure safety and productivity during performance of these duties.

The following successes were achieved by SAPS Dennilton:

X02 arrested for possession of dagga

X60 motor vehicles searched

X103 person searched

X08 Rta tickets fines issued

X01 road block at Moteti Philadelphia Road block.

In Burgersfort Cluster the SAPS Tubatse had the following successes:

* 1A� Dealing with dagga

* 7A� RTA

* 112A� Vehicles stopped and searched

* 236A� Persons searched

* 16 x Vehicles tested

* 33,5kg of dagga recovered

* R4700,00 Admission of guilt paid for RTA.

In the Lephalale Cluster, the operation was conducted along the R510 at Thabazimbi and OR Thambo road jointly with the traffic officers, Department Home Affairs immigration officers, nature conservative and CPF.

The following successes reached:

1x possession of suspected stolen property (computer processor unit

1x theft (computer processor unit)

1x drunk and driving

2x possession of dagga. 3.1g and 3g

445 x person searched

136 x motor vehicles searched

102 x lugged searched

51 x motor vehicles tested negative

6 x summons

Several suspects were arrested for various charges ranging from possession of suspected properties, possession of drugs to drunk and driving.

The arrested suspects will appear before different magistrate's courts soon.
