MEC Simmers headed to the Garden Route District municipality on a 2-days outreach programme
The Provincial MEC of Infrastructure, Tertuis Simmers, will begin his outreach on Thursday 29 June to the Garden Route District Municipality with the aim of engaging with the District Municipality Mayors and Mayoral Committee Councillors in George. This will be followed by the hand-over of the first 22 brand-new houses at the Metro Grounds Housing Project in George.
Day 1 of the visit will conclude with site visits to the following roads infrastructure projects: Montague Pass, Airport Crossing, Voelklip and Maalgate bridge.
On Friday, the MEC will take part in several activities which includes:
ending off Youth Month with a Youth Service Recruitment Drive open day in Mossel Bay, and
a visit to the Louis Fourie Project in Mossel Bay.
