Man behind bars after POLMUSCA choir members confiscate suspected stolen cellphones

NORTHERN CAPE – Members of the Northern Cape Provincial SAPS Choir (POLMUSCA) confiscated two suspected stolen cellphones resulting in the apprehension of the suspect.

On Saturday, 11 June 2022, the suspect approached members of the Northern Cape POLMUSCA choir, while they were conducting crime prevention duties in the Kuruman Mall in an attempt to sell cellphones to them.

The suspect unknowingly approached police officials to whom he wanted to sell the cellphones.

The members apprehended the suspect, subsequent to failing to produce authentic ownership of the cellphones. The suspect was arrested and he is expected to appear in the Kuruman Magistrate’s Court soon on a charge of possession of suspected stolen goods. The investigation continues.
