The Director of Zan Zan Decor, a home furnishing manufacturer based in Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu-Natal, Mrs Phindile Mkhize confirms that her company is ready to be Africa’s next leading supplier of African traditional designs.
Mkhize’s company, which has been in the business for seven-years manufacturers traditional Zulu hats, leather mats, wire bowls, beaded dolls, cushions and ottomans. The company will be one of the twenty-three local businesses that will showcase local products and services at the South African Pavilion that will be hosted by the Department of Trade and Industry (the dti) during the 54th Feira International de Maputo (FACIM) Trade Fair in Maputo, Mozambique from 27 August-3 September 2018.
FACIM will afford us favourable chance to penetrate the Mozambican market. We are looking to secure the services of distributors, agents and retailers for our range of products. We also want to educate the Mozambican market about our proudly South African products, said Mkhize
Mkhize further added they have set their sights on sealing new business deals to enable them to create employment opportunities both locally and in Mozambique.
We are currently finalising our hard-sell strategy in preparation for when we get to Mozambique and we are hoping to secure a few business deals that will catapult our company onto the Mozambican textile scene. Lastly, we are hoping that our strategy will help create more employment opportunities for women especially in the rural areas, she indicated
Companies that will participate at the 54th FACIM were assisted through the Export Marketing and Investment Assistance Scheme of the dti.
