CAPE TOWN – Community patrollers along with Grabouw SAPS seized an assortment of knives, scissors and other dangerous weapons in an overnight operation held on Friday, 30 July 2021. The operation conducted in the Siyanyanzela and Water Works informal settlements saw the contingent of patrollers and police descending on a number of identified hotspots. Two suspects aged 20 and 25 were arrested for possession of dangerous weapons. They will appear in Grabouw Magistrate’s Court on Monday, 02 August 2021.

The seizure of the dangerous weapons is applauded as efforts to prevent assault and attempted murder cases that increase over weekends.
