Aliwal North Cluster successes

EASTERN CAPE - Members of the Aliwal North Cluster had the following very good successes at the start of the week.

On Monday, 20 May 2019, members of the Steynsburg Detectives followed up positive information on housebreaking cases in town. They followed it up at Zwelitsha and searched the identified house. A suspect (22) was arrested. A 19 inch plasma TV with an amplifier and speakers were recovered and the property was identified by the complainant.

At Sterkspruit also on Monday at 14:00, Sgt Sifumba, Phangwa, Mbolekwa and Mgauli followed up positive information at Tienbank as they were busy with crime prevention patrols. An identified house was searched and dagga was found in a 20 litre bucket and a washing base. A 31-year-old suspect was arrested after 672 parcels of dagga with a weight of 11,385kg was confiscated. The suspect was arrested for dealing in dagga as an amount of money was also confiscated. The suspect will appear in court today.

The Deputy Cluster Commander, Col Mpho Rabela commended the members on the good work the arrests and recoveries. He also want to thank the community for providing the positive information This ensure that the perpetrators are arrested and brought to book.
