HLABABOMVU: SAPS Family, led by Eastern Cape Provincial Commissioner, once again visited members who fell victims to a fire disaster that destroyed their belongings at Hlababomvu SAPS barracks in 2020.<\/p>\n
After the visit in July 2020, Women’s Network, Men for Change and Junior Management Core organised donations internally and externally, across the Eastern Cape Province to support SAPS members who lost all their belongings in the fire. Today, 24 June 2021, the SAPS Senior Management handed over donations that comprised of household goods and clothing vouchers.<\/p>\n
Labour Unions, POPCRU and SAPU had an opportunity to express their support after contributing donations to seventeen Hlababomvu SAPS members.<\/p>\n
The Eastern Cape Provincial Commissioner, Lieutenant General Liziwe Ntshinga aligned the initiative with her Vision RRR. “This exercise talks to Revival, which is part of our Vision RRR,” she indicated.<\/p>\n
The Provincial Commissioner urged the members to continue serving our communities with pride and diligence. She also extended a word of gratitude to Old Mutual for their contributions as part of supporting the affected members.<\/p>\n
Lieutenant General Ntshinga concluded her speech by expressing management’s concern about the well-being of SAPS members on the ground.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
