DURBAN – On 28 October 2022 at 02:00, the Provincial Special Investigations and Tracking Task Team, King Cetshwayo District Crime Intelligence and Rapid Rail Police Unit conducted an operation at Eshowe where they received information about men who were committing crimes in King Cetshwayo District. Police received information about their whereabouts and they proceeded to Nkomazi area where they found the suspects at two separate houses.

The premises were searched and the police recovered a shotgun, a revolver, 90 rounds of ammunition and 375 capsules of heroine valued at R9 400-00. Suspects aged between 30 and 36 were arrested for unlawful possession of firearms and ammunition and dealing in drugs. All the suspects were detained at Eshowe SAPS and they will appear before Eshowe Magistrates Court on 31 October 2022.
