Provincial Community Police Board had an interview with radio Kurara

NORTHERN CAPE - The Provincial Community Police Board Chairperson, Mr Ephraim Homan and his Deputy Chairperson, Mrs Mmabatho Esau outlined the reasons to the listeners of Kurara FM about the Board's role and functions in John Taolo Gaetsewe Cluster.

They started by explaining to the listeners that the Community Policing Forum (CPF) is a structure that represent each and every community member and work hand in glove with the police to fight crime because the police alone cannot win the fight against crime without the involvement of every community member.

Furthermore they made a good example with the Chinese Community who donated 50 food parcels to 50 identified households. Because the Chinese Community are in partnership with the CPF and the police they displayed a clear reflection of Social responsibility and they move together with the CPF in the whole province to come with the programmes that fight crime.

The chairperson and the deputy further appealed to the community to work together with the police to fight crime such as robbery, theft, rape, assault, domestic violence, drug abuse, etc.

The Provincial Community police Board will move around the province very soon to launch the Community in Blue project to recruit more people to join the fight against crime.

Lastly, the Provincial Community Police Board want to see all communities having street patrollers so that all the people of the province can feel free and safe.
