Police displays mass patrols in Kimberley CBD: Northern Cape

NORTHERN CAPE - The Police in Kimberley displayed a mass patrol on Wednesday, 3 April 2019. The aim of the patrol was to raise awareness of the police presence and availability in any eventuality. The patrol was conducted at all known hotspots for crime in and around the Kimberley CBD by Kimberley SAPS' Visible Policing unit, Detectives and Public Service Act members of the Kimberley SAPS.

The Acting Station commander for Kimberley Police Station, Col Belinda Rikhotso, reiterated that foot, bicycle, vehicle and all other patrols will be maximised in the CBD to ensure that the community are and feel safe especially as we are heading towards the Easter holidays and beyond. A mobile Community Service Centre will also be roving around in the CBD with the aim of taking the services to the people.
