Police Closing In On Suspect In Khethamabala Sithole Case


Johannesburg: The National Commissioner of the South African Police Service (SAPS), General Fannie Masemola, has expressed confidence that the investigation team assigned to the Khethamabala Sithole murder case is on the verge of a significant breakthrough. Sithole, an IFP Member of Parliament and Deputy Chief Whip of the Inkatha Freedom Party, was killed last week in Katlehong, Ekurhuleni.



According to South African Government News Agency, General Masemola convened with the investigative team on Monday evening. The meeting included Deputy National Commissioner of Crime Detection, Lieutenant General Shadrack Sibiya, and the Provincial Commissioner of Gauteng, Lieutenant General Tommy Mthombeni. The focus was on assessing the progress made in apprehending the suspect linked to Sithole’s murder.



The team provided an update to General Masemola on the advancements in tracking down the alleged perpetrator. General Masemola expressed satisfaction with the evidence collected so far, suggesting the investigation is moving in a promising direction.
