Parliament Signs a Ground-Breaking MoU

Parliament´┐Ż Parliament of RSA and the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) will today sign a ground-breaking Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at providing a framework for collaboration in relation to the development and sharing of child-focused research, support evidence-based law-making and oversight, particularly in the areas of social policy, child protection, child and maternal health, nutrition, Early Childhood Development and Education.

The agreement, to be signed by the Acting Secretary to Parliament, Ms. Baby Tyawa, and UNICEF Country Representative, Mr. Herve de Lys, is a first step in the right direction on the ongoing efforts to capacitate children’s focused research for Parliament.
