The Minister of Home Affairs, Malusi Gigaba, will Thursday, 30 March 2017, brief the media on irregular movements of children at ports of entry.
The briefing follows the interception, by immigration officers, of three children at the OR Tambo International Airport on Wednesday, 29 March 2017. A male individual was prevented from departing the country with three children with fraudulently acquired travel documents.
The Minister will also receive a briefing from Tiny Hands International, and organization that provides shelter and care to intercepted children.
