A 33-year-old man was on Friday arrested after allegedly being found in possession of 491 grams of cannabis valued at N.dollars 24 550 at Swakopmund in the Erongo Region.

In a crime report issued Sunday by the Namibian Police Force, Deputy Commissioner Kauna Shikwambi stated that the suspect was apprehended at about 13h30 through an undercover police operation and that police investigations continue.

In another incident, a man was on Friday robbed of items valued at N.dollars 12 000 after an unknown suspect sprayed pepper spray into the complainant’s room at Shandumbala in Windhoek.

Shikwambi said it is alleged that at about 21h00, the suspect sprayed pepper spray into the complainant’s room, locked him in and took his cellphone of the value of N.dollars 12 000 without his consent.

No arrest and recovery were made and police investigations continue, Shikwambi said.
