Kimberley police station closed for decontamination

KIMBERLEY – Kimberley police station had to be closed for decontamination today after some members attached to 10111 Centre tested positive to COVID-19.

The said members have been placed under quarantine. Other members who came into close contact with the members have been isolated.

The decontamination process will be finalized today, Monday 29 June 2020 and the Police Station and 10111 Centre will be fully operational from tomorrow, Tuesday 30 June 2020.

The Provincial Commissioner of the Northern Cape, Lieutenant General Risimati Peter Shivuri has assured the community of Kimberley that services won’t be hampered as the community will receive assistance through Mobile Community Service Centre temporarily placed in front of the police station.
