Kimberley K9 arrest drug dealer

NORTHERN CAPE – The alertness and vigilance of Sgt Kele Moima and Const Lee Arendse of Kimberley K9 unit led to the confiscation of a large amount of dagga this morning, 03 December 2020 at 11:00.

The members acted on information regarding dagga allegedly being sold at a shack in the Kanana informal settlement in Lerato Park in Roodepan.

The members discovered 56,65kg of dagga packaged in black plastic bags inside the shack. The street value is estimated at R85 000-00.

The 63-year-old male suspect was arrested and will soon appear in the Galeshewe magistrates’ court on a charge of dealing in dagga.

The Frances Baard Vispol Co-ordinator, Brig Charlotte Makgari applauded the members for their efforts in removing drugs from the streets. She also indicated that the police will vigorously tighten the grip this festive season.
