Four male suspects were arrested at Amalinda Forest informal settlement during the early hours of today.
Cambridge detectives conducted an operation last night until the early hours of today conducting a suspect raiding operation. The members worked in conjunction with K9 Unit and Flying Squad following up on information about a robbery with a firearm and assault GBH case that was reported at Cambridge Police Station.
They proceed to premises allocated at Amalinda Forest where they found a 9mm replica firearm, fifteen (15) mandrax tablets to the estimated value of R 1 400, three cell phones, a knife and an undisclosed amount of cash.
A total of four suspects between the ages of 29 and 36 were arrested on charges of Possession of firearm and Dealing in Drugs that will be added to the Robbery with firearm and Assault GBH case that were opened before. All suspects will appear in the East London Magistrate's Court on 24 December 2018.
