Mthatha Flying Squad recovered a stolen motor vehicle abandoned

A silver grey Mercedes Benz with registration number HTB974EC was found abandoned on the N2 road near Sobangweni today at about 10h00.

The vehicle was reported stolen at Ngangelizwe Police Station after two unknown men allegedly went to a certain house where a husband and a wife both 40 years were sleeping. It further alleged that before they stabbed and killed the wife and stabbing and injuring the husband, they demanded money and cellphones afterwards they fled the scene in their Mercedes Benz. The husband was rushed to hospital in a stable condition whilst the wife succumbed to her injuries and died on the spot.

The Acting Cluster Commander Brigadier Asorgen Naidoo activated a 72 hour Task Team in making the arrest.
