PETRUS STEYN – The Bethlehem Regional Court found Mr. Seako Aaron Mosia (34) of Mamafubedu near Petrus Steyn guilty and sentenced him to effective 13 years direct imprisonment for the murder of Mamakhowa Selina Mokonyane of the same township in July 2022 at Jagersfontein Farm in the district of Petrus Steyn.

On Monday, 4 July 2022 at about 08:45, the police were called to the Jagersfontein Farm, where they were shown the body of the deceased on a bed. She had injuries on her forehead, face and upper body. The boyfriend was found near the crime scene, where he tried to end his own life. The motive behind the killing wasn’t known. The accused person was arrested the same day and remained in custody awaiting trial.

On Thursday, 23 February 2023 he was found guilty and sentenced to 13 years’ direct imprisonment. The matter was investigated by Detective Warrant Officer Malindi of Petrus Steyn.
