Biking for rural safety – Nelson Mandela Bay

NELSON MANDELA BAY: The group called 911 Bikers, under leadership of Pastor Maree visited Nelson Mandela Bay today. Their mission, to ride through South Africa to show support and appreciation towards the SAPS in terms of the fight against crime in rural communities. The slogans of the group includes "No Farmers No Food" and "Bikers Ride Against Farm Murders". They have entered Port Elizabeth today after touring the Western Cape and entering the Eastern Cape last night.

Their visit today was met by Motherwell Cluster police. Colonel Michael Solani standing in for the Motherwell Cluster Commander, joined by the Station Commander of Swartkops, Lieutenant Colonel Anton Groenewald, signed and received a letter of appreciation that was handed to the SAPS. After a prayer was done for police members the group left Port Elizabeth again on their journey to the rest of the Eastern Cape and Kwazulu-Natal.
