Alleged murder suspect hands himself to police

BOHLOKONG – The man who allegedly fatally stabbed a 38-year-old man near a tavern in Bohlokong handed himself over to the police.

 

It’s alleged that on Sunday, 25 September 2022 at about 01:20, police were summoned to local hospital for a murder incident.

 

Upon their arrival at the hospital, the members were informed of the body of Mr Thebe Mofokeng (38) who suffered two stab wounds.  It was reported that the deceased was stabbed in De Villiers Street near a tavern and was taken to hospital where he succumbed to injuries sustained.  Police opened a case of murder for further investigation.

 

The suspect has been charged and is expected to appear before the Bethlehem Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday, 28 September 2022 facing a charge of murder.
