AGU members remove drugs and ammunition in Kensington

WESTERN CAPE � Police members attached to the Anti-Gang Unit (AGU) who are deployed in Kensington due to several shootings in the area, followed up on information they have received about drugs and ammunition being kept at an address yesterday. Police searched the premises and found various calibres of ammunition and a total of 400 Mandrax tablets and Tik valued at a substantial amount were also confiscated. A 36-year-old man was arrested for possession of drugs and ammunition.

Further patrols were conducted by the members and they arrested a 22-year-old man in Wessely Street, Kensington. He was found in possession of drugs.

Both suspects will appear in the Cape Town Magistrates' Court once charged.
