On Saturday, 11 January 2020 at about 19:00, a 20-year-old man was arrested for robbery in Kuruman. It is reported that at 18:00, a 26-year-old female reported at Kuruman police station that an unknown man has robbed her off her cellphone, threatening her with a knife.
Captain Nyaba, Captain Pretorius, Galeshewe HRDC members and vehicle crime investigating unit activated search for the suspect. In an hour's time the team, accompanied by the victim, managed to arrest the suspect. The robbed cellphone and knife used were found in possession of the suspect.
The victim applauded the police for their quick response. The suspect will appear before the Kuruman magistrate court tomorrow, 13 January.
